Again, I am not a passport holder of priviledge countries. Adding the fact of being risk-averse, for me, one hour connection at EWR would not be kosher.

I've had relatively smooth experiences at EWR (admittedly, as an O/D passenger), but a one-hour connection? No no no ...

i heard that this flight tends to be early.. anybody have any idea in the truth of this?

i only have the choice of a 6:45 PM US Airways or United flight, or a 8:30 PM Continental flight. (JetBlue doesn't fly to EWR)

I agree that a one-hour connection in EWR is much too risky.

Come to think of it, a one-hour connection in probably any US airport when arriving from abroad is not a good idea, due to potential delays at immigration and/or customs.

Using Expert Flyer, ITA, as well as KVS Availability, when searching for flights SIN to PIT via EWR on SQ, It will show the connection to CO2864 at 830pm from EWR. This means that the US flight with one hour connection is an illegal connection.

I agree completely. Even with a US passport (or a resident card) and carry-on bags only, a one hour connection (inbound international to connecting domestic) is not a good idea.

I think it's been pointed out earlier, but one other thing to keep in mind is that when arriving in any US airport from abroad, in addition to going through immigration you have to collect your bags, go through customs, then re-check them for your ongoing flight.

Of course, you can be very lucky and your bag will be the first one out, but in my view there are too many potentials for delays to risk a too-tight connection.

I think the consensus is for you to take the 2030 CO flight, uglymale. I hope it all goes smoothly.

I've read from many timetables that the minimum Int-Dom different terminal connection at JFK is 2.5 hours. 1.5 hrs (if you make it) is very tight.
