I've read from many timetables that the minimum Int-Dom different terminal connection at JFK is 2.5 hours. 1.5 hrs (if you make it) is very tight.

I think the consensus is for you to take the 2030 CO flight, uglymale. I hope it all goes smoothly.

I think it's been pointed out earlier, but one other thing to keep in mind is that when arriving in any US airport from abroad, in addition to going through immigration you have to collect your bags, go through customs, then re-check them for your ongoing flight.

Of course, you can be very lucky and your bag will be the first one out, but in my view there are too many potentials for delays to risk a too-tight connection.

Come to think of it, a one-hour connection in probably any US airport when arriving from abroad is not a good idea, due to potential delays at immigration and/or customs.
I agree completely. Even with a US passport (or a resident card) and carry-on bags only, a one hour connection (inbound international to connecting domestic) is not a good idea.

Hi guys, I really appreciate all your comments...! (I even read the hunting thread lol)

The latest news from my agent is that my NWR waitlist got confirmed!! (A350 here i come! - first time.. haha)

But again, question is the connecting flight. SQ22 supposedly arrives at 5:45 PM - is 1 hour enough time for transit to catch a 6:45 PM US Airways connecting?

I am beginning to suspect the person at the travel agent is new

Since this discussions back to the main road, here is my two cents.
For everyone who had been successfully doing a short connect time at JFK, I must say you are all very lucky. As far as I know, the minimum connecting time at JFK is 90 minutes. Thus when you check in at FRA, and the agent see you have only one hour connection, he or she might not be willing to check through the bags, or put a note in the PNR regarding a short connect is not the carrier's fault.

In my limited time arriving at JFK on SQ, yes that early morning the immigration is pretty empty. If you are in F or C, definitely it will be a breeze. But I do remember one occassion where there was another airlines arriving about the same time.
The check bags, as always, you can not predict whether your bag will come out up front.. or in mid-process.
If you know the way how to use the train transfer, then it would be easy. But if it's your first time, well, sometimes I see that the track used was only one.

In any case, enjoy your SQ flight. Hope everything goes smoothly and fast in connecting at JFK.
