Due to planned ATC strikes at airports across France which will run from 06:00 on Friday until 06:00 on Saturday (September 17):
French air traffic controllers announce three more strike days (connexionfrance.com)

        • SQ308|17SEP (SIN-LHR) will be operated by 9V-SKM (A380) instead of the originally scheduled Boeing 777-300ER.

              • Something curious going on at Changi in the wee hours of the morning? (5-6am 28 sept)
observing all inbound flights being forced to hold, some doing as many as 6 orbits.
                can’t possibly be pure traffic?

(sorry I can’t post screenshots of FR24 images here)

Only one runway was available from 0600 onwards as an aircraft was stuck in a runway upon landing and was there for quite some time.

                  Guess this was the event.

                    • I wonder how all this will play out…..not a smart man to pull a stunt like this in a country who still has corporal punishment

Wow 2 diversions in the space of a couple of days. I wonder if it is due to weather - the typhoon that has been lashing Japan in recent times maybe?
