  • 777WN F or A380 Suites?

    Hi all,

I've lurked around here for a couple of years, but finally got down to posting here to ask a question. I currently have an F redemption booked from SIN to LHR on the 77WN in September, but I also notice availability on the A380 but on slightly less optimal dates. Can anyone here give their opinion on the 77WN hard product as compared to the Suites, especially when it comes to lounging, as I'm normally not the sort to sleep a lot inflight anyway?

    Thanks!

    380. No contest.

      Agree. 380. No contest.

Edit: actually I have second thoughts. The IFE and screen size and distance in the Suites are not optimum compared in F if that is important to you since you are more into lounging and less sleeping.

Done both, Suites much better, especially the privacy in bed mode. If you're travelling as a couple, getting the double bed made and watching TV together is impossible to improve upon.

Thanks all for your opinions! Does the Suites seat recline relatively far back in the lounging position, because I felt the old 77W J seat's recline was a bit weak (and is why I love the seats on the new J)?

Unfortunately availability on my secondary date seems to have vanished, and the remaining availability is a bit too far out from my desired travelling date. Still, my first time flying F so not too disappointed. Does anyone know whether if the website lists saver as unavailable, whether there might be a chance of award space opening again?

My wife will disagree....thanks to my snoring. ...which unfortunately starts really fast and furious.

I am usually sent a couple of seats back but on the same alley so that I can help carry her luggage up/down but not close enough to disturb her sleep (or embarrass her when neighbouring passengers stare).

If you haven't tried the 380 suites, go for that for sure.

As more me, I've been on the suites as well as the 2006(?) 777W first so for an upcoming flight to Europe around October (most likely Manchester or Munich), I am looking forward to to the 777WN (2013) First
