  • Award Booking to Europe

I am trying to book an award reservation from Singapore to Lisbon (Portugal). Apparently, it is offered commercially but not on redemption.

    1) Would it be best to redeem to nearby European countries and fly separate airlines? Any suggestion on the country?
    2) Can we book award with similar to commercial booking (SQ on SIN-FRA and LH on FRA-LIS).

    Thanks

you can do 2 bookings - one on SQ to one of the european countries and a second a *a award under TAP?

alternatively do an award to one of the SQ european destination and a revenue tix to Lisbon?

can try to use ITA matrix as search engine

You can go through booking it as a commercial flight and then elect to pay for part of the fare with miles. I'm not sure how that works out value-wise though.

Try a few Euro destinations if you want to book a redemption flight on SQ- depending on demand they can sometimes vary with availability or price.
CPH, BCN and MXP generally have softer demand. CPH offers you SAS for *A but they are very expensive in my experience.

You could even try IST and see if Turkish Airlines flies to Portugal at the right time as they are also *A. Also, sometimes ZRH can have lower demand which then gives you LX.

If you're going to do a full redemption with SQ then a different ticket to Portugal, it all depends on the day, the availability and then what kind of deal you can get with the connecting airline. You might get a great deal or find nothing worth using miles on.
