SQ 962/963 to CGK will be swapped to a 77W from A350 starting 25/10/20. By then there will be 4 daily 77Ws serving CGK, in addition to 3 daily long haul A350s and 2 daily 773s.
It looks like a lot of the 77W capacity is going the way of CGK flights to replace 773s, which do not see any 77W service at all currently.

SQ806/801 (SIN-PEK) will also swapped to A330 from 777-300ER from 25/10/20. (Guess it will be swapped to A350R in the next few months)

There's slack 77W block time since CPH switched to the A359. That time has not been completely redeployed. Some went to maintenance: there have recently been up to three frames out simultaneously.Originally posted by SQ228 View PostThat’s a good question. I’d discount the rumours about JFK, but in terms of AMS I’d guess the capacity will come from HND which is slated to get more A350s and they seem constantly willing to pull the 77W off PEK. Two such flights with the right timing could create a window for a daily 77W to AMS if both the regional flight pairs are away overnight from SIN. Of course MEL and SYD between us hog about 25% of 77W fleet capacity, but those can stay just where they are!!

I'm sure many of us recall the constant back and forth between the 772ER and the 77W before the A350 made its debut.

Another one:
The daily Hanoi (HAN) SQ176/175 switches from A330 to A350 Regional from 3 Feb 20 (the additional 3x weekly SQ187/188 on this route remains A330).
4x weekly SilkAir operation on this route is unaffected.

The daily Dhaka (DAC) SQ446/447 switches from A330 to A350 Regional from 1 Feb 20 (the additional 3x weekly SQ448/449 on this route remains as planned: 777-200ER until end of Jan 20, then 777-200 in Feb/Mar 20, then A330 thereafter).
The daily Ahmedabad (AMD) SQ530/531 also switches from A330 to A350 Regional from 1 Feb 20.
At this rate it's hard to see that there will be any A330s left in the fleet by the end of 2020.

Having made several trips on SQ324/SQ323 to AMS this year (was on my way to Brussels), I can confirm that the J cabin has been typically full on several occasions. Probably warrants the capacity upgauge to 77W for the additional 8 J seats compared to the long haul A350.Originally posted by pokfur View PostI recall when AMS first got the 777-300ER a few years ago you could fly F for <75k miles one way! Managed to snag that once before it was lumped together with the rest of Europe.
Good to see the 77W back. Last few trips to Europe the JCL fares have always been quite high compared with CDG and FRA, which I found surprising, but probably due to the (much) smaller J cabin on the A350.

With Singapore Airlines launching 4 weekly A359 service to Brussels from 25OCT20, they will definitely need more A359 Long Haul frames.
