    • MSN460 has finally been painted in SQ colours. Registration is confirmed as 9V-SJE. Delivery could possibly take place before end 2021 unless there are further tests planned for her.

Will there be SJC & SJD? Or will these 2 rego be skipped?

Your guess is as good as mine. The next 2 SQ A350s, MSN 485 & 494, have been assigned test registrations and should appear on the Flightline soon. They could be SJC & SJD. Only time will tell.

          • How many more long haul A350’s they have in order since they are continuing with the SJ* series?

I do not have an answer to your question. Apart from the number of ULR A350s in the fleet, SQ has never indicated how many Long Haul or Regional versions of the A350-900 they have ordered.

Sorry a noob question, why rego SJE is used first before SJC & SJD?

SGG will be operating SIN-DXB-BNE-SIN. Why such a weird route? To Dubai then to Brisbane

                        Chartered flight?
                        It was perform by SGE.

SQ8046 was listed as cargo flight.
But SQ8047 should be chartered passenger flight?

There is no noob qns, we are all learning here, no worries.

Tbh, no one has the 100% factually correct answer since we have no access to their Operation/ Fleet Planning data. Airbus lent MSN 460 to run some test on certain flight equipment after it left the production line in June 2021 and has only recently been repainted in full SQ livery. I guess they were predicting MSN 485 and 494 will be delivered before MSN 460 hence the skip? It may also be SQ not needing a long haul A350 that urgently due to COVID19 hence internal reconfiguration within SQ Operation team was done.

Actual delivery date of the airframe may play a role, there are few MSNs (464, 475, 472) which have later MSN sequence than MSN 460 and have been delivered. They are following the sequence nicely.

                            Registration#/ MSN/ Model/ Seat Config./ Delivery Date
                            9V-SJB 472 Airbus A350-941 C42W24Y187 25 Jun 2021
                            9V-SJA 364 Airbus A350-941 C42W24Y187 22 Nov 2019

                            9V-SHV 475 Airbus A350-941 C40Y263 31 Mar 2021
                            9V-SHU 469 Airbus A350-941 C40Y263 26 Mar 2021
                            9V-SHT 464 Airbus A350-941 C40Y263 19 Mar 2021

I think SQ also postponed the delivery of MSN 485 and MSN 494 and they are yet to built as we speak.

The final 10 MSN sequences to be built will be: MSN 485, 494, 514, 525, 564, 568, 593, and another three undetermined, plus MSN 460; concluding total order of 67 airframe.

Yes, MSN 460 (9V-SJE), is being used as a test aircraft by Airbus for some unknown new feature, some say electronic window shades. Since being painted, she has done one test flight. There is no indication when she will be delivered. SQ seldom provides information on delivery schedules or aircraft versions before actual delivery so we will be left guessing.

MSN 485 and MSN 494 have already been built. Both have been assigned test registrations. MSN 485 has been spotted fully painted but not on the Flightline yet. She could be having her engines fitted. Flight testing should begin soon. MSN 494 should be exiting the Final Assembly Line soon or perhaps has already exited the FAL since she has been assigned a test registration. MSN 485 and MSN 494 could be the missing 9V-SJC and 9V-SJD, respectively.

If MSN 485 and MSN 494 commence their flight testing next month, we could still see 9V-SJC, 9V-SJD and 9V-SJE being delivered in sequence early next year assuming I am correct in identifying their actual registrations. Only time will tell as we eagerly wait for the emergence of MSN 485 and MSN 494 onto the Flightline.
