9V-SMS has landed at Changi bringing the SQ A359 fleet to 19.
9V-SMT will be next to be delivered at the end of December. She has just had her first engine run with her First Flight to take place sometime next week.

Makes sense, I said almost, but it didn't slip into the December delivery. But even then great to know both SMS and SMT will be delivered before the end of 2017.Originally posted by SQKevin View PostIf she is delivered today (30 November), she will still make it as a November delivery. Airbus is clearing the November deliveries very efficiently. 3 frames were delivered on 29 Nov to Delta, Malaysia Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines. 9V-SMS is the only Delivery-ready A359 still at the Delivery Centre. If all paper work is cleared today, she should depart Toulouse this evening.
9V-SMT is still waiting to make her First Flight and could just make it as the last delivery of 2017.

Berlin Airports have a long history of airlines failing to establish long-hauls out of the various airports. Iam not too sure if SQ would be able to turn the fate.Originally posted by Jumbojet Lover View PostIIRC some time in the past there was a post floating around claiming that a schedule was filed for SIN-MUC-ORD. Nothing came of it. With the collapse of Airberlin, SQ could step in to fly to a North American destination from Berlin. LH can codeshare, saving it from flying the route and instead dedicating resources elsewhere, while SQ also gets more pax onboard. Looks like a win-win to me

SMT would probably be the last A350 delivery of the year.

You make a logical case! When LH and others were picking over the remains of AB, the one thing none of them wanted was any of the long hauls.Originally posted by Jumbojet Lover View PostOr operated with a tag on to North America??

There's a lot of J seats in an A350 though...
