I would love to see a decent PY product from SQ with a proper legrest and some reasonable recline and width maybe mimicking old SQ C cradle seats. Skymark's (Japanese budget carrier) seats seem quite decent from pics. Will they have the guts to do so now that CX and even LH have them or are on that path? Not sure, I still feel they are not keen on it at all.

R definitely will go in my book and F could be thinned out from certain routes as MAN Flyer mentioned. However, I don't mind good F availability from a redemption point of view (using KF miles for starters). To be seen.

Given the half-baked New New F, I'm less convinced as to the impending death of Suites come 2017. A premium carrier needs a halo product, and New New F is miles from being that.

Plus there's that small little issue of pride (particularly evident within Singapore GLCs) surrounding failure... Much better to maintain the Suites sub-brand and just sell it like regular F, no?

So I imagine a Suites 2.0 come 2017, or sooner. Smaller, lighter, slightly less beyond First?

New New F for me is a step backwards from New F

In sleep mode, the space for your feet has narrowed because of a storage cupboard

Suites bed is too narrow for me

So currently, New F on 77W is my favourite

I'd like them to move away from flipper beds too

Many departures ex SIN are red eyes.

I like to sleep as soon as the plane takes off.

I don't like to wait for the seat belt sign to go off before I can get up to make my bed

I agree with you for J. Much better to recline-to-bed.

For F, part of the value-add experience over J is the additional bedding/duvet/etc. which needs laid out after the seatbelt sign goes off. In such case, I'm sitting on the fence whether it should be a recliner-style (e.g. CX/EK F) which is superior for day-flight lounging, or Suites-style with a proper mattress which is superior for sleeping. (Again, New F is the worst of both worlds - neither a recliner nor a good enough mattress.)

Long live flip down beds. So much more comfortable than when they try to make a seat that can morph into a bed by the press of a button. I'm convinced you cannot make one without making sacrifices in bed comfort.

You may give up the 5-7 min upon climb out when the fasten seat belt sign is still on, but that's a small sacrifice, in my opinion, for better bed comfort for the rest of the duration of the flight.

NOOOOOO! I'm having a hard enough time getting to destinations.

Agree - A bed doesn't make for a comfortable bed!

Qantas recently added a thick sheet/duvet to go on the seat due to this!

For the late flights down under I agree, that's why they have a reduced meal service on them. Same for the SQ (and TG/BA/CX etc...) flights departing from Europe in the evening. However, for the late bank of flights from Changi (or BKK, KUL, HKG etc...) to Europe it's the opposite as it is still mid afternoon at destination so I make a point of having something to eat and watching one or two films or reading before going to sleep, thus getting me into the local time zone for arrival.
