Yes, flightradar has now also picked up the registration change and 9V-SSI is indicating the departure from TLS with an unspecified destination (SQ8893).

According to planespotters.net, 9V-SSI has been delivered as of 30 Sep 2015.

Provided the close proximity of delivery for the last A330 and the rollout of a fully painted A350, if I am the marketing department I would consider doing both things on the same day so Mr. Goh can have something to celebrate, earn publicity and to promote the A350 coming up on SIA's fleet.

Due to skyliner-aviation.de it should bee delivered today 30-09-2015 and a non specified aircraft SQ8893 toke off from TLS at 16:18 cest and is heading east.Originally posted by SQ228 View PostThere's nothing on flightradar and planespotters still has it as "on order". Apparently its current reg. is F-WWKY and it made a number of test flights recently including two last Friday.Last edited by EKCH; 30 September 2015, 10:52 PM.

Very interesting to see SSH doing that flight! Yes, it's been confirmed on here many times before that the ROK flights are charters for the Singapore Army, so you are correct I would presume.Originally posted by SilverKrisSRG View Post9V-SSH has been busy serving SQ8931/8932 to The Rockie, is it a chartered flight that brings Singapore Army for its annual exercise?

I remember in previous years that work going to SVF/H/O so the soldiers are getting a treat...

They are probably there for a unique kind of Wallaby not found elsewhere in Australia...Originally posted by SilverKrisSRG View Post9V-SSH has been busy serving SQ8931/8932 to The Rockie, is it a chartered flight that brings Singapore Army for its annual exercise?

It is indeed, although it's still a better IFE product than what is still installed in 30 of their planes, some of which are still likely to be flying about in 3 years' time.Originally posted by wolfsburg View PostQuite a pity that 9V-SSH is still using the same IFE as the rest of A330...

The newest A330, 9V-SSH has entered the SQ fleet as of 22 August 2015.
One final A330 (9V-SSI) to go before all 15 aircraft have been delivered. 3 more are expected to leave the fleet by March 2016, like 9V-STJ and 9V-STP.

Exactly. From the customer's point of view a 5 yo plane has been replaced with another 5 yo plane, or rather a product that is 9 years old. By the time SSG leaves the fleet, they will have already introduced a product to supercede the 2013 product.Originally posted by FN-GM View PostWish they would stick the new Y in these AC.
