And that would probably be 9V-SSG? It would be kinda cool if SQ made a SG50 special livery for this plane. After all, Singapore's rapid growth was paramount to SQ's success in its earlier days.

EDIT: It seems like my wish has come true. SQ has apparently repainted one of their A380s with a special SG50 livery of a big Singapore flag strewn across the fuselage. Image courtesy of shikhargpt's friend, Muhd Rasyad:



I think this will probably be used for the upcoming charity flight on 29 May. Anyone has any details of that flight, like which aircraft will be operating it, and when it will depart and arrive?

As announced yesterday, in the financial year ending March 2016, SQ will be decommissioning 4 A330-300s, 2 777-200s, 1 777-300 and 1 777-200ER. All when their leases expire.

SQ usually includes its fleet plan in its annual result announcement, which comes out this week. Media tends to report only financial info, so we may have to wait another week or so before the presentation is loaded to SQ's IR website.

Just flew back on 9V-SSB.

The J seat is slightly different in that they've lost one of the two reading lights found on the seat.

The window seat also loses the seat back "wing" by the window

9V-STA has been back flying for the last few days, but since then STB has now been out of action so there must be some kind of rolling maintenance work affecting the A330s.
