Confirmed: No birthday cake for PPS on SQ anymore.

Took SQ378 yesterday for my birthday and did not pre-order any cake. No one knew/took notice of my birthday: no card, no cake, no best wishes.

Disappointing crew as well. Booking was in the system for weeks, including my PPS number.

Cost cutting: from birthday present in the good old days to cake to nothing.

SQ, is it too expensive to say Happy Birthday?

Latest at check-in they have to enter my date of birth and that should be on the manifest but the IFS did not even blink...

I don't think it's in the manifest but SQ would know. The immigration officer wished me a Happy Birthday and she was the only one that night.

My own SQ birthday experience this year did not include cake either, but I was given a chorus of early birthday wishes by the fabulous ladies of the T3 SKL.

I think it might have had something to do with a little hint I dropped when ordering my FCL BTC

Yes i realize that it's off-topic (although so is the discussion on SQ's cake situation then), but i wanted to put the lamenting about cake or no cake in perspective...

DOB is not on the manifest. Cabin crew will have no idea until a birthday cake is uplifted by caterers. And check-in staff are not authorised to request for one on pax behalf, as some pax may not want to celebrate.
