Is it just me, or is it so unusual that there even isn't a peep of acknowledgement from SQ management, or social network that SQ Talk even exists ?

No announcement yet.
Is it the SQ arrogance that they don't even admit SQT exists?

With very few contributors and what I would think is a very limited reach why would you think that SQTalk is important enough that SQ management should take notice of this initiative?
I am 100% certain they know it exists and I take that they even have a look at what's posted but that's about it.

I suppose it's hard to say, but I felt maybe our many complaints on here about the treatment MEL was getting last year may have gained some attention.
There seems to have been quite a turnaround in the way we now always receive the product we are scheduled to, but this could also be due to many of their competitors upgrading their aircraft on MEL flights.
They must monitor the forum, even if just to check their own staff aren't leaking confidential information. If they read my annoyances here in the process, it's probably going to have more effect than if I just grumble on a travellers' blog site. Those things are everywhere and pretty meaningless these days.
If any SQ staff ARE reading, appreciation is noted for putting an end to the previous MEL situation.

SMK77 is right - the reach is limited, but that's okay. I'd rather that than have 100,000 users here asking when the Zero fare sale on SQ starts.
No, it has and always has been a site for knowledgeable enthusiasts and people who would like to get to know the finer details - and there's no better place to find out about THAT than here.
The people here know when they stopped Dom 98.
They know when SQ warms the ramekins or not.
They know when there's new cutlery or a new amenity Kit.
The people here have spent countless nights in the SKL,
They can find their way blindfolded from F59 to B5 without using the T2/3 trainlink.
The people here have hundreds of thousands, if not millions of BIS miles at the pointy end of the SQ birds. Some have a permanent butt imprint on 4F on the 744's, 3F on the 380's. And that's just on SQ.
And that's just the kind of crowd I want to learn from
So nevermind, if SQ's not interested

What exactly are you expecting, an SQTalk banner on their website with a link to us ?.Originally posted by Guy Betsy View PostIs it just me, or is it so unusual that there even isn't a peep of acknowledgement from SQ management, or social network that SQ Talk even exists ?
I can assure you they read what's posted, quite a few different departments as well. One specific example of this was just prior to boarding the recent final 744 flights to HKG and back I spotted Nicholas Ionides at the gate. I went over to say hello and when I said I was from SQTalk he said 'I know, I saw your message yesterday about the T Shirt you would be wearing'.Originally posted by SMK77 View PostI am 100% certain they know it exists and I take that they even have a look at what's posted but that's about it.
We have also been asked to edit the odd piece of information posted, and in one case remove something completely.
They would be silly not to read this place, as well as any other website that discusses them. It would be bizarre for a company to completely ignore feedback about them, even if some at the top of that company were previously too arrogant to listen to any criticism. Thankfully under the new CEO that seems to be changing.
Changi (the airport) also keep an eye on here. I know they used some comments off here during a briefing in the early stages after T3 opened, during which we were described as being 'brutally honest'.
