    Or one could fly on Air Mauritius or Air Seychelles and transit in Port Louis and Mahe respectively!

      Don't know really.Probably lack of competition.Australians would be a lot better paying the extra for Qantas or South African Airways ex Sydney or Perth directly and if you don't live in either flying domestically to connect with the flights.the schedules work a lot better too

          Correct, I flew the 744 to CPT and back via JNB in 1997

            For me it was in 2001 when the 744 was still used on these routes.
