Am I the only one who hate those GV2 fares?

They are confident that they have got all their customers figured out very accurately.
It's like they are making you pay for a can of coke according to what it's worth to you.

The only annoying thing to me is that they won't let you select certain flights (usually those with better timing)

I don't find the gv2 fares annoying per se, more the absence of decent FIT fares , whether they earn miles or not.

I also find those GV2 fares somewhat annoying or better the lack of alternative fares when traveling alone. Plus they are still overpriced IMHO. Just checked flights to BKK the other week for a biz trip in April and SQ was still advertising the single traveler friendly 425 SGD "Special" fare all in and of course no mileage. I mean come on, 425 SGD and no miles? What the f@#$?
Normal E fare bucket was 533 SGD and picking one of the more popular evening connections triggered a 633 SGD Y fare. Absolutely ridiculous. Now TG isn't much better in denying mileage on lower priced fares, but at least there I could get a Q fare that earns 100% mileage in BD, LH M&M, SQ KF, etc, for 393 SGD. NOt as good as full mileage earning V fares on LX for 250 SGD in the good old days but way better than what SQ offers.

If you must go for the cheaper fare then no choice.Originally posted by Guy Betsy View PostAm I the only one who hate those fares that SQ advertises... and then when you click on it only to find that its a GV2 fare.. which basically means 2 must travel and definitely no miles.
Why does SQ discriminate against the single traveller?
Seriously I wonder what is with the hoo-hah... price difference is relatively negligible

I find the GV2 fares perfect for me. I can take my buddy along for a holiday

Because they have no real recourse? Pay up or don't go, basically. Yes, it sucks but most people seem to figure out a way to bring someone along for the ride... that doesn't care about the miles.
