Turkish to start IST - SIN - CGK

From THY website, IST - SIN - CGK will start on August 10, 2009 5x weekly. Wonder if it has traffic rights for SIN - CGK? More *A option to fly between SIN - CGK.

Fantastic news!!! A new option for SIN-CGK and presumably with very attractive equipment (9W 77W??).

Hopefully they price competitively with LH and QR.

Just in time for my 14-16 Aug weekend in JKT. Won't be taking J unless it's a super cheap full-mileage accrual deal, so here's hoping for some decent intro discounts (EQM of course) in Y.

I'm more concerned about TK doing an equipment swop on my 29 July IST-BKK flight. Really want to sink my teeth into that 9W 77W J.

IIRC, some days ago, TK announced a change in the equipment for the IST-SIN flights.
Should be A330/A340 only. No 77W by 9W unfortunately.

As per GDS timetable display on 02JUL09, Turkish Airlines is to operate Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to China and Korea in July and August 2009.

The routes and operating dates are:
Istanbul - Beijing
20JUL09
03AUG09 - 31AUG09 Day 1
21AUG09

Istanbul - Seoul
16JUL09
26JUL09 - 30AUG09 Day 47

Other days operates with A340-300

Do you have a link? THY booking engine still showing 77W for SIN-IST in early October. I also can't see TK dropping 77W from SIN entirely and still keep it for a few days of the BKK route, which btw is also still showing 77W in early October. Right now both routes are served by a mix of A340/330 and 77W.

I used the TK official schedule. BTW, I checked only till the end of august.

The 77W is still on the route IST-BKK on selected days (1,3), while it has disappeared on the IST-SIN for Aug, where previously was present on selected dates.

QR ends SIN-CGK on 31DEC09.

I was informed by a prominent SQTalker that QR will launch a direct DOH-CGK flight, and replace SIN-CGK with SIN-DPS.
