Thanks KeithMEL and Sethor, I did a fair bit of research before I booked and it does not look that bad, they do have dedicated staff and looking at the a380 seat map there is a good toilet to seat ratio!

You do not get lounge access but not the end of the world and I am a priority pass member so get to use the not so glamorous ones, although the servisair lounge in T3 LHR is now stopping all children under the age of 12 entering as from 1st March which is bl00dy annoying. I understand them wanting to stop screaming kids running around as it is a paid for lounge anyone can use but by all accounts its not that great anyway.

    I've only done the A380 in J.

As for PE, I book it on flights to SFO, but have always ended up in a Skybed (with PE service) as QF operates QF73/74 as a 3 class service using a 4 class bird. It will be a real shock having to actually fly PE via LAX when the SFO services ends! Unless I can somehow route myself via DFW at same/similar cost...

Food and drink aren't quite J but better than whY. You get pre-departure drinks (champagne - Charles Heidsieck NV/water/juice), and J wines. The catering is broadly similar to domestic J - slightly better than international whY and served on ceramic hardware and real glassware. On SIN-LHR, expect to be served supper upon take off and brekky prior to landing. Amenity kits are identical to the ones in whY, and you get a set of J noise-canceling headsets. The FAs circulate the cabin with a tray of snacks during the night.

On the A380, PE is located at the rear of the upper deck. I believe PE cabins have a dedicated set of FAs. SIN-LHR is operated by the UK crew who have been consistently excellent and reputedly the best in the system.

I don't know if you get lounge access but you do get priority check in.

I would take QF W over SQ Y any day 38-42" vs 32" Pitch & 19.5" vs 19" seat width.

I couldn't find any reports but will look again, I'll take some pictures. I'm actually booked via BA's world traveller plus and specifically chose the Qantas A380 to get their product as BA's WT+ is pretty poor by all accounts and it was 1K cheaper that way.

    Qantas A380 Premium Y

I'm booked on this in a few weeks, looks OK obviously not a a J seat but there is not a great deal of difference in price between that and SQ Full Y fare.
Going from SIN to LHR, has anyone travelled on this before?

    Cheers
Working...
