Very Nice and now uses an A380 for the parting shot but my favourite is still the 2004 Director's cut version

I always think of this song staring out the window on a daytime australia-asia flight. Somehow it just reminds me of the soft spot I have for a place I called home for several years

Thanks for the heads-up, KeithMEL
It was always one of the stronger advertising campaigns, I felt.
It's amazing to compare and contrast both old and new campaigns - the new one captures the vastness of Australia, and really the 'wideness' of the palette used.
The older one feels more 'smaller', with shots alot closer, far less movement.
I'd love to see both in HD, though. Anyway we can download a high-res version?

Gotta say my favourite is I Still Call Australia Home II (1998 version), the first one in the series featuring the children's choir. A real tear-jerker for me till this day. Though i also do like the more multicultural nature and the different landscapes of the latest ad.
That and the Chaser's spoof of course.

Qantas do some really excellent ads. Like their A380 one:

Always seems to have that little bit "extra" compared to most other airline ads - a bit of warmth, which I suppose is what they were aiming for?
