  • NRT-SIN in R

This in my first time to write a trip report, so please be gentle with me guys...

    SQ637
    Sector: NRT-SIN
    Date: 05 OCT 08
    ETD: 1130
    ETA: 1735
    Aircraft: A380-800
    Reg: 9V-SKB
    Load: 12/12

This NRT-SIN sector was part of my long vacation trip, began from SUB-CGK-SIN-SFO-PHL-SJU-ORD-NRT-SIN-SYD-SIN-CGK-SUB.
This was my first R experience... so I want to share with you guys...

After 4 days strooled around in Tokyo, it's time to took the flight that I waiting for from all my trip, SQ637 R class...
I was heading very early from my hotel to NRT, around 7am, because it was the most possible schedule time for limousine bus to pick me up from my hotel in Shinjuku. After slightly more than 1 hour in the bus, I arrived at NRT T1 south wing, where SQ check in desk were.
Aftera very brief checked in process, I was heading for NH F lounge near the gate 46 at the satelite upper floor.

The lounge was standard F lounge, it was nice and comfy, but has no "wow" effect as LH FCT at FRA or TG F Spa at BKK.
The staff very polite and helpfull, typically Japanese, fell like home.

    My ride to SIN, 9V-SKB

    Lounge view:

My "snack" at the lounge, completed with 2 cups of Fauchon Ice Cream...

After having my "snack", I just realized that the lounge has became crowded. Almost every seats were taken. Now it was the time to try the infamous NH F shower room.
Must met the receptionist first to get the shower room key, and leave the BP on them.

    The shower room:

    The infamous automatic Japan Toilet...

The L'Occitane shower kit, similar with TG F at BKK, just different bag...

    The Shiseido face foam....

After finished the shower job, went back to the Lounge, but no seat left for me...
Tha staff overthere showed their simphatized, but could not do anythink...
So I went to the gate, and strooled around the gate to buy some souvenir.

    View from around the gate:

Hey... what were they doing up there???

SQ A380 seating chart at the gate...

Pre take off drink, as ussual I asked for Krug. This time some missundertanding happened. The LSS that took my order missheard my order (poor my Asian tounge), she was thinking I want 'coke'. So when the other LS came with Coke, I was confussed, he was confussed too... hehehe...
But, after he came back again with the "real" Krug, we had a joke and a very friendly chat about asian tongue...

After take off drink, I order for Choya Umeshu (Japanesse Plum Wine), which now became my favorite drink onboard...

After we reached cruising altitude, I made a walk around this beautiful aircraft, first route: took the "grand" stair to J section...

and then to Y upper deck section, went down trough "back" stair to lower deck Y section.
And then, there was an incident when I want to go back to R section.
The LSS at the galley before the R section stop me, and asked me if there anythink she could help me...
I told her that I want to go to my seat at 1F. And she missheard me too just like her colleage... She thought I want to meet passanger at 1F... (poor my Asian tongue)...
She told me the she will go to ask the passanger at 1F first.
I told her again that I sit at 1F. Now she released me.... hehehe...

On the way back to my seat, I checked the "hollywood style" R toilet...
        Here're the pictures:

Nice Orchid at the toilet wall....

          Lunch time...

          The menu....

They have Caviar on the western style menu in this route...

          The infamous "Satay"...

I've ordered Japanese meal for this flight, that was "Kyo Kaiseki" in this flight.

          First tray (cold dishes)....

          Second tray (hot dishes)....

          Dessert.... (nice one)...

Just want to try the "real" bed of the Suite, so I asked the LS to make a bed for me. It was a simple process, the "bunk bed" fold down from the wall behind the seat.

I love the new F amenity kit, so I want tried my luck in this flight by asking an extra one..
But the charming red kebaya girl that I asked for told me that they don't have any amenity kit left, because that was a full house in R...
And then I asked for a box of playing card.... and guess what.... she came back with 4 (FOUR) boxes of playing card, and a bear for me.... Now I can apply for "bear club family" at SQTalk.... hehehehe...

The midflight "snack" with my newly addopted one (still have no name...)....

            The flight path....

My flight arrived on time, but my next flight, SQ231 SIN-SYD has retimed to 2.30AM... (that's another story......)

            The End....
