On the next day, lets follow this "kampung guy" doing a campus visit, before the real ceremony began...
It’s just a short 5-10 minutes walk from The Capella Apt....

Maybe some SQTalkers here familiar with this view...

While his nephew had some business with his professor, this "kampung guy" and the other nephew (his niece got class that day) went the Mathews Building's canteen...

And had some campus's food for breakie...

          Laksa...

          And some Butter Chicken...

While waiting for his nephew, this "kampung guy" met his old friend who's now a lecturer there... what's a nice reunion for them after years not seeing each other...

Done with his business with his professor, and the niece also done with her class, they went to the city...
What else they did at city except looking for food...

Yes! That's my old EE CompSci faculty! Haven't laid eyes on it for decades. Much have changed but the old bricks on the left are absolutely the original.

                The pralines...

                The cakes and pastries...

And the Macaroons... ahhhh.... one of the best macaroons in the world...

They were so full for that day.... so they must skipped the dinner... (what?? "kampung guy" skipped his dinner? What a big surprise... )

The next day was his nephew's big day... but not until the evening...
So, early in the morning, they went to the city for a brunch...

This the surrounding view of their neighborhood...

Actually they planned to have an early lunch at Hurricanes at Darling Harbour...
But when they got there, it's still not open yet...
Couldn't wait much longer, they went downstairs to other favorite restaurant there... Pancakes on the Rocks...

And these what they had there....

                  Beef rips...

                  Beef steak...

                  Fish and chips...

And offcourse no visit to the Pancakes on the Rocks would be completed without having the famous pancake...

                  Banana pancakes...

                  Choco strawberry pancakes...

Full with the great food, they walked back to Hyde Park to wait for their bus to back to the Kensington...

Here some view of Hyde Park and Elizabeth St...

After taking some rest back in the apartment, now it was the time for the big time for the nephew...
This was the time for his graduation ceremony...

Let's take a look for this happy moment for him...

                    Moments before the ceremony....

Now he officially got his degree, BComm (Hons1)...

After the ceremony, there's still some cheerful moments among them and the friends...

It was almost 10:30pm when they finally reach the apartment...
Felt hungry, the dropped by at King's Thai restaurant that located just next door from their apartment...

Luckily, they managed to get last order before the kitchen was closed...

And this was their late night supper... (sorry, this "kampung guy" just remember to take the pictures after the food almost all eaten out... )

All of them very happy that night...
The nephew got his BComm (Hons1) degree now...

                        But...
                        Is that all??
                        Is that all from them??

                        Don't worry....
They still have couple of days to explore the Sydney culinary...
They haven't had Huricane's ribs yet, remember...

                        So... just stay tunes...

I found this Thales system a tad inferior than the Panasonic one that I got on the return flight on PK-GPO... the cabin also quite a different experience compared to PK-GPJ...
Yes, I do agree that GPM, GPN, and GPO have a much better system with a big 15 inch screen and a much more comfortable seats as well. Cabin wise (if you refer only to the 1st cabin before door 2), I still prefer the more spacious cabin found on the other 5 HU's NTU aircraft. PK-GPM, N, and O cabin reminds me of what CX used to have on its A333 but some people actually like this kind of arrangement as it is actually more private. It is, however, a warning to those who dislike sitting close to the galley and in this case a bar area.

Did you have to queue for Makoto? Makoto just doesn't do it for me. I never had a good sushi in SYD at all.

I like what the city has done to Tumbalong Park. My kids spent quite a number of quality times playing in and around that park when we still lived in SYD.

Usualy I had to queue, but then I learned that at the off lunch/dinner time, not much queue there. So after learned this, I always went there after lunch hour or before dinner time... including that time...
