  • Ordered 230 Aircraft - JT to SGN

Hi people, a long time since i posted. After reviewing a trip to SGN previously, i have decided to go SGN again with a bunch of friends for a short christmas gateway.

Sorry for the late posting of the TR, lack of time till now :/

This time I'll be travelling by an airline that ordered 230 B737-900ER - Lionair. A quick fact here is that Lionair was also the launch customer of this particular make of the aircraft

Bought the airtickets at promotional fares @ $205 all in considering it was christmas, there was no peak charge levied by JT unlike its competitors TR,3K,SQ. Kudos to JT.

However people here please note : Contrary to the Lionair's website, they DO NOT provide any meals on board

    Up the aircraft!

Looking forward to the so called Boeing Sky Interior ?

A better pic of the legendary sky interior would be taken on the return leg

    Blood red seat covers

Huge legroom due to EMEX seat being requested

Short trip of 4 days and i would say it passed very quickly. Packed up, and off to Tan Son Nhat International

Clean and spacious, similar to design of terminal 3

Till the point where they even use the same baggage handling system (BHS) and the same ARINC iMuse used in Changi

      Time to check in !

Wait!! The tail of this a/c seems a little different from other JT aircraft!

      Closer look at the tail

      Fuel for the flight

      Landing in SIN

Best Shot i took of the Boeing Sky Interior

I've eaten pho in many places where there's a Vietnamese community but nothing beats the original!

        Thanks for posting, Augmentin8.

Wonder how JT got rights to fly SGN-SIN... Is it a tag-on sector?

JT used to serve a sandwich/bun with drinks on this sector. Looks like they have scrapped it.

I got a box full of food, and a juice also, on this same flight. However the seats were way too cramped and despite the 20usd cheaper fare price, I've gone back to Jetstar for casual jaunts.
