Fasano Restaurant at Fasano Hotel, Sao Paulo

The dining room - from the hotel lobby/hallways, you won't be able to tell they have such a grand dining room hidden behind just a humble door. I was really impressed. The dining room feels very grand in an understated way.

Wine cellar housed near the ceiling

    Table setting

    Sea bass amuse bouche

Insalata di king crab con pasta fredda - Alaska crab salad served with cold pasta

Linguine con aragosta e peperoncino - Linguini with lobster, lightly spiced and tomato sauce

After dinner sweets - fortunately I was too full to order desserts, this was good enough for me

Neither did we, but don't think the rest of the city is like that.

Probably right, but they are still a S.E. Asian airline flying to South America, so what he said was incorrect. You should never underestimate your opponents either, even when they have the baggage MH have.

Yeah, amazing how small the world is given how big Sao Paulo is.
Thanks for the drinks at Fasano. Much appreciated!

Indeed the presentation of the dishes at D.O.M. is great.

In general yes, although some no.
Food like those at D.O.M. are not what I would have often, but would love to try once in a while when traveling to different places.
Rubaiyat's food is more my taste. Although my cardiologist won't approve having much of those either!

    You are very welcome.
I had the same perception before the trip.

Still, it might have been an oversight by SQ's CEO to say that in such a formal speech.

Greetings from the TAM Flounge at GRU. What a quirky little place this is!.

I have promised Sir StarG that I will write up a brief summary of the trip, but that may take a day or so as I have got a lot to do as soon as I get back. I am not sure where I'll begin as so much seems to have happened since I left MAN last Thursday. It won't involve pictures as mine are just inferior versions of the ones already posted, with the exception of a few of the crew on SIN-BCN, but I think I will have to clear those with them before I post them.

Thanks for lunch, and enjoy the rest of your birthday Sir.

BTW - Despite thinking he was stalking me, I did not see the Singapore Ambassador again after I left the restaurant. .

Apparently Hyundai's cost as much as audi/BMW/mercedes in Brazil, and are viewed in a similar light. I know that's certainly not the case here in Australia!
