No 1080p, but otherwise quite good

There is a better solution via Apple's Mac mini. It can handle 1080p and it MUCH MORE flexible.

Does 1080p matter when you're viewing it on a tiny laptop screen?

We have the box connected in HK and watch it in SG with the only downside being an ify broadband connection from StarHub.

So long as the bandwidth is half reliable then it's a quite a good solution for just keeping up with programming but for better quality pictures we still need a ways to get better quality international bandwidth.

It does when you connect said tiny laptop to the 50" flat panel in your hotel room.

Thing is, some laptops do have HD screens nowadays... as their native resolution

Based a slingbox in Australia and watched in both Singapore and then Germany with few problems. Was a great alternative until we were set up in each country with local/UK TV. Only issue we had was sport was a little hard to follow if the speed was slow. If you are thinking of using in Singapore I believe there are better options locally but overall loved it!
