Hi everyone,
Been pondering about this for a while.
Travel insurance caters for loss of property due to theft while travelling.
My laptop was stolen when I was in Stockholm about 2 years ago. Made police report, filled up claim form, got some money back, no questions asked.
I was wondering, how does an insurance company (that sells travel insurance) knows whether the loss really happened ? What's there to stop someone from making a claim everytime he travels ? (with motor insurance claims, the premium increases whenever you make a claim on your own policy, but not travel insurance!!)
