I'm using it now. I'm just a normal user, not a developer, so can't give "scientific" point of view. Firefox 3.0 seems to be just a slight improvement over the old one, I like the way how the address bar is being designed. I don't have to keep typing the address, the page title will do. I also like the ability to save page tabs.
However, it really irritates me that Firefox hasn't fix the problem with the memory usage. It really slows my computer down sometimes and I have to restart the firefox. Other than this problem, it is pretty much a stable software to deal with.

Where can I get Fasterfox? Is it a freeware?Originally posted by SQflyergirl View PostBeen using it since yesterday.... it's pretty good. I only wish my fasterfox add on was compatible with 3.0 since that gave it a nice boost. I'd have to say the stock 3.0 is slower than my old 2.0 with fasterfox
We put labels on people and fight wars over them. If we truly want harmony, we have to get past the labels.

Tools: addons: browse for addons - you'll see all these cool things you can add to firefox. Fasterfox doesn't work with 3.0 (yet).Originally posted by nykelaz View PostWhere can I get Fasterfox? Is it a freeware?
I've got:
Fox Clocks
No script
Adblock Plus
Download Helper
PDF download
iMacros for Firefox
and yes, they're all free

flo, most Mac users I know use both. As I'm newly reintegrated into the Mac world, do you find many differences between Safari and FF (pros & cons)? Thanks.Originally posted by florianwagner View Postas a mac user i'm totally in love with safari. so no ff here.
but the it consulting firm in the office next to mine were talking about ff3 and said that it's "pretty damn fast". so probably great to check out!HUGE AL

yeah... the reasons why I use safari:
- it's faster. probably not as lightweight as camino but still one of the fastest browsers arund.
- it syncs favorites with my .mac account
- the rss reader is probably the best rss reader available
- safari has the sleek and slender apple user interface
- safari has the 'private browsing' option which is quite neat when browsing sites you dont want others to see...
i also have firefox installed on my system but i only use it when booking on singaporeair.com ... which is almost never, anyway
