And if they were inspected and approved by the late Dear Leader, they must be of tip top quality.

Free Russian lessons for the pilots too - you know, to be able to read the instrument panel and stuff.

Indeed. The board at EADS must have been having sleepless nights the last few months wondering if the USAF would select an Airbus to carry POTUS around.

Even when Airbus withdrew their bid for consideration some time ago, I was certain they were feigning it to make a better bid at a later stage.

In fact, I'll be so bold as to make a prediction (you heard it here first!)

This is definitely a ploy by the Europeans - give up the airforce one contract, but get the Joint Strike Fighter one. USAF will scrap the F-35 project (Lockheed Martin isn't that big anyway) and buy Eurofighter Typhoons!

I saw this coming a mile away

I really didn't see this coming. Never in million years would i have guessed they would choose 1) Boeing and 2) the 747-8

Really comes out of left field, and I'm shocked.

Hardly. If anything, this forum needs "No, I'm not being sarcastic" tags.

Unless of course you weren't sure...
