I don't quite know, there has actually been a slight change of plans, and I may try and go as a trade visitor on Wednesday, and if not, then I will be going on Saturday as well, so maybe what we can do is just try adn find out who is interested in Saturday or Sunday or Trade days and then we can take it on from there, unless of course people want to see it on their own

                Singapore Airshow 2010

                Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is a little OT, but I will be in Singapore when the airshow is on...it's open to the public on 6/7 FEB...do you think it's worth going? Any civil aircraft on display? Been on the official website but it doesn't really say what civil planes will be there if any or which exhibitors...not really keen if it's all military or general aviation stuff.

                Thanks!

I can come for the DO. I am only 15 years of age. So far I have two tickets as my parents had to make a last minute change as they might have to be out of town on the date. So I'm in for Saturday (:

AFAIK, there won't be any civil airliner if that is what you are asking about. There should be Embraers but not the big ones like B777. Don't think SQ can spare one of their A380s for the static display either. There may be a BBJ though.

Its mostly military and general aviation.

if one have attended the Asian Aerospace a few yrs back or the last S'pore airshow - it wouldnt really be much to visit again as the hardware esp the military ones are the same - as in fact some of them are really old - even older than the pilots who fly them - like the B-52 which has been around for close to 45 years, the A-10 which is also a more than 30 year old classic and even like the F16 which has been around for more than 15 years - altho some of the insides have been changed but the airframe remains largely the same as the first time they flew.
On the commercial aircrafts static display - dont think this time will have the A380 - as we can see it everyday as SQ have 11 of them flying now n Qantsas too fly them into SIN. Only thing is to collect some freebies momentos like badges and pins etc.

                              Lucky you.

Trade days are nicer time to visit.

No crowds and the booths haven't packed up.

Hmmm.. what are the chances of SQ announcing a new order?

                              Maybe exercising their 77W options...
