What is the prevailing (if any) planning for SQ’s operations at T5 when it becomes operational? Presumably this will be the golden opportunity for SQ to consolidate all SQ/TR ops in one terminal?
I hope that sufficient thoughts have been taken by CAAS about T5’s connectively with the T1/2/3 cluster. We don’t want another “isolating T4” situation. We need an inter-terminal train system for T5 with the T1/2/3 cluster. This is the perfect time to link in T4 too in this loop. This may be complicated though as T5 is headed to a separate departure and arrival level system from gate point, unlike in T1/2/3, thereby making an inter-terminal train system difficult, unless additional common security processing points are instituted at the inter-terminal train embarking/disembarking points.
The MRT loop between T1/2/3 and T5 will serve the public and not transfer passengers’ needs.
