Correct. It's always a bummer arriving in SIN after midnight, and still have to pay for one night hotel. But yes it's understandable from business point of view.

Marriot,... well, right in the basement of the hotel is BarNone.... that ain't dead...

From the Marriot, walk over to Hyatt, basement bar, nice....

Cross the street, walk pass the Thai Embassy, you will have Orchard Towers... 4 floors of xxxxxxx (rhymes with doors)...... Ipanema is the recommended club... there is also a huge country music bar in the building too...

Thanks - all good stuff. Not sure about opening any 'doors', but the clubs sound like fun! Looks like Marriot is it - just hope they charge me for only one night. Damn SQ - land at 1:25am on the 26th and my connecting flight is at 10:45am on the 27th (they cancelled the SIN-CMB on the 26th).

Air-crew night eh? Maybe I will extend an invitation to the TPR on my way back!

Hmm now I know where have you been when transiting in Singapore.
And now I know where to avoid to go for this innocent man.

You can also add "Living Room" to the list of establishments at the Marriott which is open to about 6am - there are a number of working girls frequenting this joint.

For an overall club experience a Thursday night out is not complete without going to Zouk/Velvet Underground - Thursday nights @ Velvet Underground is aircrew night

Last edited by kapitan; 24 January 2009, 09:26 AM. Reason: remove word "walls" and replaced with "doors" on recommendation from Native English speaker to rhyme better with "xxxxxxx" in sentence

Well, depends on what kind of parties you are looking for....

For the easy catches, Orchard Towers has a party every night of the week....

On Thursday nights, some clubs have ladies nights....

    Another "happening" flyer?
I must be too old for this forum. I even don't know where to go if you ask me where is the "happening" place in Vancouver.

You're going to have to give us an idea of your budget for the Hotel. They've got all types in Singapore.

For hotels close to the action, check out Novotel Clarke Quay & Swissotel Merchant Court..

These two hotels are right on Clarke Quay and if you want to party on Thursday that's the place to be..

But all the big hotel players have hotels in Singapore and cabs are cheap as chips so getting from one place to another is quick and affordable
