Kyo, I put together a collection with you in mind, but unfortunately I won't be back in Krung Thep to hand them to you until after the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Anyway, enjoy the fab SGS next weekend and let me know what you think of the new SGS Thann products.

I was there last month when they had the chef from the St Regis Doha in house to serve mezze for breakfast and a whole roasted lamb for dinner. I ate hummus and moutabel everyday for breakfast--pure heaven!

The SGS last month introduced Thann toiletries into all rooms and suites

They include shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and huge, thick, carved bar of soap.

There is a distinct woody, earthy, bergamot-like fragrance to the products.

Seems to be a hit with their South Asian guests from what I've heard.

I also returned to the Palomar, a Kimpton hotel, in San Francisco and they stock their bathrooms with these neon-colored Etro products which evoke the bohemian spirit of the Bay Area.

The Doubletree in Sonoma County carries Crabtree & Evelyn products which seem to be a standard of their hotel brand.

    i.want

The Ritz Carlton South Beach Miami is starting to stock Asprey of London toiletries as of a couple of months ago!

Due to celebrate its 10th anniversary later this year, I remember when this property stocked Bulgari toiletries in its early years (since relegated to suites only)

Wow! Are all Conrads stocked with Shanghai Tang toiletries in higher room categories? Pardon my ignorance as i've only recently stayed at the Conrad in NYC where i received the AA.

By the way, great ideas there, I might consolidate my duplicates into nicer dispensers as you did and give away the lotions (they're wasted on me too!).

Haha, I'm not important enough to attend these things anymore. It's only for the esteemed SQflyergirl et al category...

(also my post was referring to Chinese New Year which is 9-12 Feb as per Singaporean holiday calendar)

(not kidding about the meeting up part, however... let me know when you've got time to spare in SIN)

The talc powder is still here Kyo-chan! I also keep a bottle (one bottle goes a long way) in my suitcase. That and the one from the E&O Penang

Are you referring to the JW Marriott Bkk? I think I have a spare set of the AA toiletries from their junior suites if your friend doesn't come through (or if you need refills )

Quite like the Tara Smith products at Conrad nowadays, their Shanghai Tang ones are great also!
