  • BA ticket Issued Jan 26 - Liable for extra APD on check in?

Just a question for those who know this system - I had a BA ticket issued on January 26, and on the very same day, I spent another 72 euros to upgrade the ex LHR portion from an N fare to an I fare via MMB. Seeing that most upgrades cost 50 pounds or so shorthaul which is very roughly the 72 euros I paid, I'm wondering if that includes the extra APD for the upgrade as well.

It's certainly not very clear what was included in the taxes as the wording on it is extremely vague.

Am i going to be slapped another 20 pounds for APD on check in? (I'm assuming that's the differential payable for shorthaul Y-C from what I've been reading)

There should be nothing extra to pay. You did the transaction after the increase was announced so BA should have inlcuded it in the price they charged you. Even if they did not BA did not charge passengers for the increase in the tax if they had brought the ticket before the increase was announced they took the hit themselves.
