SYD-KUL return fares are currently on sale for AUD999 in Star Class, and AUD249 in Economy.

Fares are on sale now until midday (AEST) 24 Jan 07, unless sold out prior. For travel from 9 Sep 07 to 14 Nov 07. Available on selected flights only. Total fare includes all surcharges, fees and taxes and subject to availability, not available on all routes or days. An additional $4 per passenger per flight will be applied to fares paid by credit or charge card. These fares are non-refundable. Limited changes are permitted, charges apply.

I suppose there'd be similar specials ex-KUL.
