SQ's fuel surcharge

Has anyone been tracking this at all ?. By that I mean the corresponding price of a barrel in relation to the surcharge going up.

The reason I ask is I just saw a news bulletin that made a point of stressing that oil is today at $53 a barrel, down from it's high of just over $80. That is quite a drop!.

Can we expect a reduction in due course, or am I dreaming...

Didn't SQ hedge a good percentage of their fuel when it was at US$70+? I think this was during the summer spike when everyone was saying US$100 was imminent.

yes... but now brent crude is about 55USD per barrell and hopefully price could decrease again

....and my oil stocks have been plummeting since last week

Just ticketed HKG-MEL and the fuel surchage+airport tax is 25% of the fare (on Y) !!!
