I have heard news that at least Air Asia, Air India and Indian Airlines are going to move their operations to Terminal 2, as Terminal One is getting overcrowded.

It is ironic to describe any of Changi's terminals as "overcrowded", but I suppose it is all relative.

I would have hoped that more of SQ's partners may move to Terminal 2, especially those in Star Alliance.

I have not heard about Air Asia. Only heard about the other 2 airlines, Air India Express, Korean Air and Asiana.

              Why wouldn't *A make T2 a *A terminal? Wouldn't it make more sense?

Bearing in mind that these days L/T/QPP get no SKL privileges when travelling on *A...

Going off topic a little, but didn't Indian Airlines already merge with Air India 2 yrs ago, or was that for the future?

Also, with the pullout of Swissport, SATS is going to start low cost ground handling subsidiary to handle the budget carriers. It will start initially to handle Tiger and Cebu Pacific, followed by Jetstar and probably Air Asia in the future.

The business all went to SATS? What's CIAS doing?

Air India and Indian Airlines are already merged but will still operate as separate airlines until further notice. (Like Air France-KLM, Delta-Northwest, Jetstar-Valuair).
