This being the beginning of a new year in which I am hoping to have more good flight experiences, I wanted to first record my overall impression from my experiences of last year and give a few awards to the airlines that did provide some of the best service I have had.
In 2006, I have flown 24 different airlines:

So here are the first awards I am handing out:
- Best bed in the sky: SQ for the new F seat on the 77W
Very wide bed and great pillows and new linen - Best Pyjamas: SQ's new Givenchy PJs.
Very soft and comfortable material - Best Seat overall: Tie between SQ new F seat, the SQ SkySuite and AF 77W F seat. On AF, I like the color scheme and the open space feel. SQ's video screens are better but it is not possible to have two people dining facing one another
- Most original feature for a seat: AA's swinging F seat. Great for working and keeping your laptop in place when eating.
- Best dessert tray: AF. If my friend can send me the picture, I will post it. It was a superb tray with pastries and fruits well arranged to make a beautiful and colorful display
- Best ground service experience: LH FCT
Nothing can beat the personal and private security, the personal assistant, the food offerings, the bathtub and shower, and .... being chauffeured to your airplane!
- Best lounge drink selection: SQ SIN SKL F
Can't beat having Dom Perignon - Best lounge food: LH FCT or F lounge
- Best handling of delay: SQ.
Keeping the passengers informed, and providing me with 5* hotel and food - Best IFE: SQ's new F video on a wide aspect ration 23in screen is superb! Great selection of AVOD as well and great headsets
- Most original food offering on board: OZ sushi chef on board
