26th May started fantastically. Had lunch with my buddy, went for my exam fully prepared with tips that was so accurate, met another buddy for coffee post exam, and went home for a fantastic dinner. Next came a phone call with some fantastic news.. and I'm elated.
Then it all went downhill... I went back to office around 8.00pm, received a trunk call from France asking me to cancel my SIN - CDG Trip due to some important project in Singapore. Fought hard for it, as I wanted my KF Gold, but decided to cut the dates shorter.. (Not a good omen), but at least I still get to go.
Reached my wife's office at 9.00pm to pick her up, and we rushed home as I have a rendezvous with the A380 a 11.40pm. Everything was fine and dandy, until I reached CTE.
A tree fell on the otherside of the expressway, and it caused a MASSIVE Jam on both ends. What was a routine 20 minute commute, now became 1+ hour. I reached home close to 10.15, and took my bags, change into a Polo T, and ran off in a cab.
Things started to look up as the Cab got me in time for my mission in Tokyo, and I was thankful for it. The flight was OK, and it was pretty quiet by aviation norms. Pretty much like driving my old Mazda 3 in term of dB, but I couldn't get to sleep.
F & J class is full as usual, but Econs is 70 - 80% full. That's supposed to be good news for me, but all the sleeper seats were snatched before I had a chance, so got stuck to my Y seat without a view...
Anyway, reached Tokyo in time, and was pretty excited to see how Tokyo would be. Cleared Customs and all, and got my luggage, or so I think. I reached the Hotel at around 10AM local time, and thats where things start to get interesting.
1: I took someone's elses luggage.
2: I left my iPod (My wife's Gift!!!! HELL No!!!) on the flight
Well, its been one mad rush after another. Just got off the line with SQ 40 minutes ago, and thank god they have my luggage. Now thats honestly a smaller problem, but the bigger issue would be my iPod.....
Anyway, would file a TR with pix once I'm done with all these nonsense, and here I am, stuck in a small hotel room, without any new clothes to change into after shower.
Well, thinking on the bright side, I get to have decent internet in this room, and then, hey, I have more stories to tell when I'm in town!
