LM Beverly Hills redesigned and rebranded as Luxury Collection, reopens 15JUL08

The Le Meridien on La Cinega has been redesigned and reflagged as a Luxury Collection.

It'd be reopening as the SLS @ Beverly Hills - an art hotel and apparently the redesign was done by Phillip Starke. It looks most interesting:

The outdoor living room sounds cool.

If the reviews are good I might consider this over the W Westwood.

I wonder what award category it'd fall under...

Wow, this is SCARY as the place was a complete dump before the reno.
