  • News Flash: KeithMEL is Welcomed to the USA via Cedars-Sinai Emergency Room

Warning: hanging out with taipeiflier and HUGE AL can be a bit hazardous.

Seriously, our buddy KeithMEL had a bit of an allergic reaction to shellfish while dining at The Ivy with his parents - not us.

We're sitting with him now. He should be discharged in an hour or so... [edit: or so we thought]

Actually the ER nurse said he almost died. He's sleeping peacefully now because they loaded him up on drugs and will be discharged shortly. [edit: or so we thought]

That's a very severe allergic reaction.

I hope they were able to identify the allergen so this episode won't happen again.

What an awful experience not only for KeithMEL but also his parents! It's really very lucky that this happened in the US with immediate access to world class medical care.

                    Get well soon, KeithMEL.

We put labels on people and fight wars over them. If we truly want harmony, we have to get past the labels.
