SQ220 New Year's day
SYD-SIN

Hello SQTalk! Happy new year!
This is the last report from our trip with Mummy and aunty P that included:
Our ride down to SYD on the A380
A ride to CHC and back on NZ
A ride aboard DJ and QF
and a helicopter joyride
After a lovely night out watching fireworks, mummy bundled us off to bed rather late. We all got up at 5.15am so that we could be bright and early at Kingsford Smith.
At check in, mummy bumped into an old friend of hers who still works for SQ, Aunty Hayam. She was lovely and told mummy a little bit about the operations they face daily trying to get SQ221 in and SQ220 away on time.
Today's load was 399 in Y, 54 in J and 2 in R. They were oversold in Y and were asking for volunteers to take SQ232 at 1245 (some 3 hours 55 minutes later), and offered 400 AUD in return for the trouble. We don't think there were too many takers as you could see everyone wanted to ride the plane.
Here's Leroy thanking his lucky stars he's not riding in THAT box! (it means he's been a good bear!)
Leroy lining up like a good bear at gate 57. As all the uncles and aunties know, suites board through one door, Lower Deck Y through another, and Upper Deck Y and J through the upward sloping one.
Here's a pic trying out the footwell for size. Mummy was in 21K and Aunty P in 22K today. 17K was available, but mummy had already tried it and didn't want it this time.
Uncle THF, tired of the foot shots yet?
An advantage the non-bulkhead seats get is the space for hand luggage under the seat in front. Very neat, and does not exist on the bulkhead seats.
Still a long way to go. Don't mind mummy's reflection in the screen. We didn't know how to get rid of her!
