LH J class product - order of food?

I know this is relatively a small thing but on my last two flights in LH J long haul, cheese is served before the main. Is this a LH thing since SQ always brings it around afterwards...

It depends. What was your departure time? If you leave after 2100, you will get the night flight concept: one of the adjustments in J is the cheese placed on the tray with the starter.

Will this be the same concept for F service? Will take SFO-MUC next week which departs at 2150. Just want to be prepared and do not look like a first time F flyer.

In F both options will be possible. You can have the shorter night service, but also the normal complete F service (with caviar and...and...and).
