  • Falling Dollar, BKK no longer cheapest for RTW's ?

I know it's difficult to predict if it will stay, go higher or back down again, but the US Dollar is currently at 1.93 to the Pound!. This makes SGN/HAN/CGK/DPS etc which are priced in US Dollars cheaper than BKK for *A RTW's at the moment, for us paying in GBP anyway.

Unless something has changed, these are the current rates I believe:

    VIETNAM/INDONESIA/LAOS/CAMBODIA - in USD

    FRTWSTAR1/2/3 7369/8529/9979
    CRTWSTAR1/2/3 5329/6129/7189
    YRTWSTAR1/2/3 2839/3259/3829

    THAILAND - in THB

    FRTWSTAR1/2/3 306550/352350/413660
    CRTWSTAR1/2/3 201150/231440/271560
    YRTWSTAR1/2/3 100930/116080/123260

        The Euro's getting stronger too.

        €1 = US$1.30821

Not a good time to have greenbacks. Time to look to Europe or the UK for jobs.

Thanks for the news, MAN Flyer. That's excellent news (for UKers, that is). I hope the trend continues up to the time next year when I can contemplate RTWs.

You want to do a STAR RTW? Do let me know your itin. May cross your path on some sectors.

Sorry - but have to involuntarily downgrade it to Port Klang crab since Lobster is imported in US Kwachas.
