  • The Age's take on the SQ A380: The style-high club

    On R class:
The two double suites in the centre under the stairs are the real show-stoppers. A privacy panel between them can be removed to turn two single beds into a sumptuous double bed.

When they were displayed at the hand-over ceremony in Toulouse, the soft Givenchy twin bedspreads were scattered with red rose petals with a bottle of chilled Dom Perignon, crystal champagne flutes and a bowl of fresh summer strawberries alongside.

Singapore Airlines public affairs manager Stephen Forshaw was quick to point out that the suites were intended "for the purpose of travel and rest. That is all." [emphasis mine]
All opinions shared are my own, and are not necessarily those of my employer or any other organisation of which I'm affiliated to.

I don't like how the author refers to it as the A380 Airbus, it implies that "Airbus" is the plane's descriptor, like "dreamliner" for the 787, rather than the brand name
