Fantastic collection, StarG! Thanks for sharing. Must have been grand to be around when the Megatop was launched.

Actually delays were quite common when Megatops were first used on long hauls.
Looking at these old F & J seat pictures (which felt sufficiently comfortable at the time) make me feel so grateful that Raffles is now a SpaceBed!

You're too pampered, my good man. Not really that you haven't deserved it: it's just that I'm enormously envious.

I wondered about that as well. Should we ask him for his traitor's air collections as well?

Should we all have a Mini Do in CGK around Mid Oct? ... so that we can visit StarG's museum collection.

SQTalkers, remember to bring your cameras.

Hey, StarG , what is the admission fees?

While my collection of SQ memorabilia does not compare to the StarG Archives and Museum , thought I'd share these Singapore stamps, sent out to PPS members for the introduction of the A345 (still called the LeaderShip back then) in 2003. I assume it was only sent out to SIN-based folks, since the stamps are for local addresses only, but I may be wrong.

I got a set of this from our generous CGK.
Apparently being an SQTPPVVIP at YVR, he received two sets.

Thanks Movieman for sharing the those lovely stamps.

Can I swop my North Borneo stamps for those?

                Hey, StarG!

Thanks for transferring this thread (and the others). Definitely one of the advantages we have over here (as well as in the temporary home) is that we can easily include images.

That's some great stuff. Makes me wish I had collected some of them. Too bad I was only 5 when Megatop first came out.

                    Wonderful memories !

Wonder if anyone here can remember the old Plush "soft" toy model of a puffed up 744 in the 80s? It is soo cute ! If I remember correctly SIA start selling it on board when the 'BIGTOP' came about.
