How come my post occupies SO much space ?

Well, sometimes I type a short post of one or 2 sentences, and then my one-liner signature appears, but there is a HUGE blank space after that, so my post occupies way too much space.

I notice some other members' posts occupy only a small column.

Why is this so ? Is it due to my avatar or signature ? And how do I rectify this problem ?

Well, it's a nice avatar, so instead of removing it, you could type more and then it would look so bad!

Oh yeah, now I notice that whether I type 1 or 5 lines, my post still occupies just as much space.

erm, I think I'll look for a shorter avatar then.
