    Singapore-based low-cost air carrier Tiger Airways has signed a draft purchase order for 30 medium-range Airbus A320 aircraft, with an option for an additional 20, the two companies announced. The catalogue value of the 30-aircraft order is around 2.19 bln usd.
    In a joint statement with Airbus, Tiger said it currently operates a fleet of 9 A320s and will take delivery of 11 more in 2010.
    Today's draft order and options will potentially increase its fleet to 70 Airbus jets, the air carrier said

    Heard about this in the news yesterday. It really looks like TR is expanding their frequency and destinations with these new jets coming in. This 49% owned SIA airline is doing quite well during the past three years. We shall see in 2011 when these thirty aircraft enters service.
