Is that to pay for all the new finger scanning machines ?. I went in to KL for a day on a flying visit a few weeks ago and nearly fell over when I saw them taking finger prints.

I was wondering when - and why - Malaysia suddenly became paranoid, and then discovered they take them on the way out as well.

What's triggered all that nonsense then ?.
