Does anyone have any advise on the pros and cons of flying SQ to SF, vs other carriers from Singapore ?

This is a question requiring a long answer!

Airlines that fly between SIN and SFO include... off the top of my head, and by no means complete

    From Japan: NH and JL
    Korea: OZ and KE
    Taiwan: BR and CA
    Hong Kong: CX

Significantly neither TG or MH fly to SFO

My personal preference is SQ ( surprise, surprise ) because I get the long haul product all the way.

eg on NH, SIN-NRT is regional seat.

Tends to be cheaper too ( but that may be because I book all my flights through airline websites )

Just dummy booked SIN-SFO on KE website and its more than SQ's price! )

I consider schedule too of course

    And I get my miles!

The downsaide is that you only get one connection into TPE from SIN daily on BR.

Having done SIN>>>SFO a couple of times in the past few years for business, I would almost go for a as quick connection as possible, hence it is either SQ via ICN or HKG or CX via HKG

Different story if paying out of the own pocket

9V-SIA, you must have meant KE (Korean Air) ex-Korea. KA is Dragon Air.

Amended. I'm poor at airline codes as there is only one airline for me... SQ!

Oops, I mean on business class. I was thinking of redeeming my miles, but when i saw it took 240,000, i am thinking if i should just purchase a commercial ticket on another airline.

does CX use the new business class or the herring bone seats for sin-sfo ?
