English and just enough Spanish to get by at the local tacqueria.

When traveling, I always try to learn a few basic words and phrases of the local language.

English and Mandarin, like most Chinese Singaporeans.

When travelling, I try to learn some foreign words too, but I am so poor at it that it's embarassing.

Anyone tried the language tutorial programs on Krisworld ? any comments ?

Bahasa Indonesia, English, Mandarin, a little bit of Cantonese, Javanese and Sundanese. (Is it too obvious that I am trying to stretch the list? )

                        English.

Apparently my Hindi and Thai is understandable when I'm drunk, but not while I'm sober.

A fairly short list for me:

English (mother tongue), French (conversational), Thai (pretty poor but always resolve to improve!)

...added to that, my wife is Cumbrian (far north England) and I *just* about understand her & her parents, so add that to my repertoire

...I talk to my cat too, but not sure how fluent in felinese I am

                            Fluent: English, Cantonese, Bahasa Indonesia
Passable, but still needs fine tuning: Mandarin
