  • Old and new airports - how many have you been through ?

    Reading this thread about flying to Seletar (Singapore's 1st international airport with, so I understand, Paya Lebar, Kallang and then Changi following) and as it's Friday afternoon, I was just wondering how many locations people have flown to/from where they've used an old and a new airport ? In other words, for myself, I can only think of:

    Hong Kong - Kai Tak and HKIA
    Kuala Lumpur - Subang and KLIA
    Athens - Ellinikon and Elefthérios Venizélos

    I've used Don Muang but haven't tried Suvarnabhumi yet; and I've gone through Changi but not the older ones.

    I'm sure others must have a list which is much much longer ?

      o = old
      n = new

      MXP (o-n)
      MUC (o-n)
      BKK (o)
      HKG (o-n)
      There's only One way to fly.... SINGAPORE AIRLINES!
      If SQ is too expensive, the other way to fly is Qatar Airways

        I can't think of a single place where I have been to the old airport and the new one.

        Nearest I have come is TLV where there is an ew terminal (where they have moved all the international lfights) but it is not a separate airport.

                        If you're still using Essendon these days, you must be able to afford not traveling with all the riff raff.

                          b4 you were born? My age is starting to show ....

                          I am still using Essendon believe it or not, but not on a Gulfstream or a Learjet unfortunately. Just a trusty little Cessna for some fun. The riff raff will have to put up with my presence for a long time yet I'm afraid.

                              The next time I can get some time to fly, I'll let you know and take you up. No problems at all. Melbourne looks great over the CBD, especially at night.
